Regarding the Latin vs European Spanish localization, indeed we want to focus on one of the two first to be able to finish one completely and avoid confusion etc. We don’t have any particular preference for one over the other, coincidentally despite living in Portugal, we opted for Brazilian Portuguese first in that case. It does indeed mean that we should focus on the common expressions in Spain over those in latin america for this round.
But speaking of which, it would be a good moment for us to get a good idea of the state of the es419 (latin american spanish) project. Who is involved in that one and can take the lead? It would also be good if those involved in the European Spanish project could review the es419 phrases once we shipped this update, to ensure consistency to some extend (i.e. discriminate between things that might have evolved over time (and that es419 might also want to adapt) from the true differences between European and Latin Spanish (which should stay obviously).
What would be nice is if we could ship in the next release es419 alongside Brazilian Portuguese and give the update a nice latin touch!
