Nested notes

I have a partiular use case for nested notes that I wish to share to see if others have the same need.

During a day, when I have multiple meetings, I would like to club them all together under a separate event where I summarize the events that happened during the day. The parent event is just linked to the day in the calendar and not to any specific event. And for this, I feel like being able to nest events with another would be benificial.

The current best option seems to be to use the Related Notes section to the right. But it is cluttered with links to notes with the same tag, which I do not want - Related Notes Explanation Please - #2 by mekentosj

I also see an earlier discussion here - Nested collapsible notes with the proposed solution of collapsible notes. But for my workflow, I would like to group events together by a calendar date that is more visually appealing.

Something like this…

Thanks for making agenda!

What you describe sounds a bit like an app such as Notion. It has a different mental model.

We don’t allow notes to contain other notes, but you can come a long way with categories, smart overviews, and folded sections.

You could perhaps consider having one note per day, and a different folded section for the different meetings. So you would have a heading for Meeting 1, Meeting 2 etc, and fold the sections to hide content.

Something we are thinking about for the future is the ability to create lists of notes, which are a bit like projects but don’t own the notes. So a note could be in multiple lists. Perhaps you could then use a list for each day.

Thanks for the feedback!
