I’m trying to figure out how to do a relative date search (e.g., “next 7 days” or “next 10 days”).
The information in the documentation on “Filtering on Dates and Date Ranges.” no longer seems to work as described. Specifically, I don’t see the relative date options like “Next 10 Days” or “Next Week.” When I try selecting a range of dates (e.g., Monday 12/2 to Sunday 12/8), it seems to filter for those exact dates rather than providing an option for relative dates like “next week.”
I was able to do this with earlier versions of the app. Could someone explain how to do this with Agenda 19? Any help would be appreciated!
If you look at this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYdy5fVlZoo&t=590s there’s some explanation about it, but you could also use the date picker by hitting the “calendar” icon in the search form, and click on a date to choose the start date, then just hold “shift”-key och select the end date of the range.
Thanks. Actually, I reviewed that video before making my initial post. When I use the shift key to select a date range, I only see the specific dates I select, rather than relative ones. I’ll keep trying…
If you are just searching, relative and absolute are the same. Ie if you select the next 7 days, that is the same whether you select exact dates or select the 7 coming days.
The difference arises when you save the search as an Overview, because in that case, you will often want the dates to be relative to the day you open the overview. So when you save the overview, you get a choice about whether dates should be relative or absolute.
Thanks, @drewmccormack. I was trying to create an overview but didn’t click “Save Overview” because I was worried it would only save the specific dates rather than the relative ones. However, when I did save it, the option to choose between relative and absolute dates appeared.
Thanks for explaining—this is exactly what I was trying to accomplish!
