Hi everyone,
I’m really enjoying Agenda, especially the code block feature with syntax highlighting — it’s super useful.
However, I’ve noticed that code blocks tend to blend in with regular text quite a bit. Even with syntax highlighting, they’re not always easy to spot quickly, especially in longer notes.
It would be great to have an option to add a subtle border or outline around code blocks — something minimal, just to visually separate them from normal text.
I think this small change could make a big difference in readability and make code sections easier to scan.
Curious if others feel the same
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback! We’ll consider it in future updates.
Thanks for the reply!
That’s great to hear
I think even a very subtle visual separation (like a light border or slightly different background) would already make a big difference, especially when scanning longer notes.
Agenda is already very clean and minimal, so something optional and unobtrusive would probably fit the design really well.
Looking forward to seeing how this evolves!
Thank you again for your response and for taking the time to consider feedback!
I wanted to share a small observation: when working with more complex or longer notes, it sometimes feels like there could be a bit more flexibility in the internal structure — for example, the ability to treat certain sections as distinct elements within a note.
In some apps this is done through nested pages or cards, which helps organize information while still keeping the overall context. I feel that something along these lines, implemented in a very light and unobtrusive way, could complement Agenda’s current approach without taking away from its minimalistic philosophy.
In any case, thank you for the thoughtfulness and uniqueness of the product — it’s a pleasure to use!
