Hello, I’m new to agenda, I am used to take handwritten notes, is this possible to take handwritten note on Agenda and I can import my handwritten notes from my note taking app Notability?
Yes, that works quite well in Agenda.
For example, you can write directly on the iPad with the Pencil, and the Scribble feature converts your handwriting to text.
Adding Text to your Notes
Another option is to add sketches and drawings.
Adding Sketches and Drawings
I once used an older version of Notability and forwarded the drawings to Agenda as PDF files. The problem was the file size. Agenda is not designed for large collections of file attachments.
I use Goodnotes for sketches and handwritten notes. I then send a link to the sketch to Agenda via “Share and Export” and save it in a note. This link allows me to quickly return to the document in Goodnotes. This doesn’t put unnecessary strain on Agenda and I can quickly edit the document in Goodnotes.
I assume that Notability can now do this too.
Give it a try.
Hello, thank you for your reply, your explanation cleared my all doubt regarding taking handwritten notes in agenda and adding my existing notes to it. I have found a solution where I’m able to export PDF from notability to agenda, and it works fine for me. And yes I also have tried the link sharing method in notability. It is working in notability where I can put notes links to agenda and will get back to notes in notability from agenda. This is very awesome and streamlines my workflow.
Are you serious?!
You ask for handwritten notes in Agenda, and a second later you settle for making them elsewhere and putting a simple link?? ![]()
Well, I’ll answer you: “the creators of Agenda DO NOT LIKE hand-taken notes, and Agenda was only designed to make notes with a keyboard.” Apparently this is non-negotiable for them ![]()
We do support a bunch of tech for handwritten notes, so it is not true that we don’t like them and don’t support them
You can use the built in system for handwriting, Scribble. We added support for that.
And we support drawing and writing — including with lined backgrounds especially for writing.
Agenda is not designed as a handwriting first note taking app. If that is the focus, there are better apps around like Notability.
If you want to mix handwriting into your notes, or use handwriting as an input medium, then Agenda does support that.
