Assign to Google tasks instead of Reminders?

As I think about the widget and “tasklist” issue.

I’ve realized, reminders is definitely integrated and for those who dont use apple reminders, is it possible to instead send a reminder to google tasks? I imagine theres an API one can use especially given the number of applications that do this like Taskboard etc.

That might make it easier to take Agenda work on the go with the widgets that are already built for Google Tasks.

Thanks for the feedback! We’ll take it along.

I am not familiar with Google Tasks, but if there is a way to integrate that with Apple’s Reminders, the same way you can integrate Google Calendars with Apple Calendar app, that might be a way to go. You effectively would sync via the shared reminders store, which is available to all apps.

Any chance to resurface this? I would love to be able to connect to Google services directly (Calendar as well)

In general, we try to stick to the system stores, because they integrate with all apps. If we add support for Google, we have to support Microsoft etc etc It’s just not really viable for a small team.

That’s fair, one way to support something like this to a broader audience might be an enhancement to the integration with Apple Shortcuts. As an example, adding Find Tasks in Shortcuts could possibly allow me to create a filter on certain tasks that I want to pull over into another service. Just a thought.

Thanks!

Not sure iff this helps, but there is a Find Note shortcut. I think you can probably get the markdown of the note and retrieve any tasks from that to use elsewhere.
