Assign Date and Calendar Event to a Note

What I did: Assign a date (today) and a calendar event (in the future) to a note

What happened:
The note gets assigned the date of the event

What I expected:
I expect the note to have today’s date assign to it (for tracking purposes) plus I want to assign a future date calendar event to the note as well (for reminder purposes).

You can only have either a date or an event associated with a note. As a workaround you can use tags with dates, see “Due tags” in this post:

Hello, I think that it were a nice idea to support the entries out of the reminder app. I have many things in this app and would like the same handling as with calendar entries. Additional to that it were nice to have the ability to map a checklist entry to a reminder entry, or better create a reminder entry for a checklist entry and update them if I have done an entry out of a checklist.
