As I see, the note pane’s padding is very big on the sides, and once you hide both library/calendar panes you get tons of wasted space, especially on larger iPads.

On Mac you can change this using a hidden setting but on iPad that kind of tweaking isn’t possible. We went with the current setup because in general if you make a note too wide it becomes less readable, there’s a reason a newspaper has multiple columns for example. We’ll take your feedback on board though.
