Hello, i use templates on MacOS very often, more specifically i have a number of text snippets that I include in exisitng notes using the \template command - i would like to do the same on iPad (and iPhone) but I seem not able to find out how (I only find how to create new notes form template on iPad)

This should work the same way on your iPhone or iPad.
Start typing \tem and your templates will already be suggested in the keyboard bar.
However, there is also an option to use text replacement. Either the OS’s own integrated text replacement or via special apps such as PhraseExpress, RocketTypist, etc.
Ok, offficially embarrassed, i looked everywhere BUT doing the same as on the Mac, i was just not finding it under the “+” where all the other insert opportunities are listed as icons.

@drewmccormack Why wasn’t the “Insert Template” action integrated directly into the keyboard bar? It may be used less frequently than, for example, “Insert Table,” but there are certainly users who have never inserted a table into Agenda.
I don’t think we had templates when we made the bar, but we also haven’t added it, probably because it is a multi step process, which requires a menu selection (ie the template). To me, it belongs in the same place as adding any other note, so the + menu makes sense. It’s just another way to add a note.
this topic is not about creting new notes from templates but rather using templates for inserting into existing notes - now that i know how to use the syntax I am all good but I guess from a user logic perspective it woulf make sense ot have it in the bar (or as a separate bar with all templates listed).
