Use gestures to hide the side bars

It woud be great if you took a page from Things 3 and Bear and let us hide the side bars simply by two-finger swiping left or right on the trackpad.

Love this idea. I am used to swipe in Things and found myself trying to swipe to show and hide side bars on Agenda

Like this idea. I used IA writer and is wonderful to use gestures to hide the side bars and it really works.

Reviving this request for iPadOS, especially with the release of the new Magic Keyboard (with trackpad). Would it make sense for the sidebars to react to a two-finger swipe?
