Is there a way to include the title of the calendar event in the title of the note when creating a new note from a calendar event using a template? I have a set of templates for new notes and I use \date to automatically include the date into the note title. But it would be really very useful if, when creating a note from a calendar event, I was able to pull in the name of the calendar event as part of the note title. So, I think what I am asking for is for the note title in the template to ideally read (as an example):
\date(yyy-MM-dd) : \caltitle
I couldn’t find a way of doing this, so maybe this functionality is missing, or I have missed it. If it isn’t avaialble, maybe this is something that could be considered for a future Agenda release (especially as the link with calendar events seems to be the USP that is leveraged for Agenda)?
It seems that the titles of the calendar events are already read in as they are displayed on the RHS of the Agenda window (on Mac Desktop) so I’d imagine it should be possible to extract the title of the meeting for use in templates. I note that the calendar event title does get added to the title of notes when created directly from events, so it should be able to pass that event title to a template via a variable?
Well, I imagine that it’s possible, but not being a software engineer, I have no idea whether this would be simple or not to implement!
Cheers,
