What I did:
Inserted \date in the title of a note
What happened:
Nothing.
What I expected:
To see the date inserted. The text action works in the body of the note, but not in the title.
Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):
Agenda 14.1, Mac OS Monterey 12.3.1., Mac Mini 2018
Could you send a screenrecording of the exact steps you take? It works on my end.
Thanks for the quick response. The date is showing up on a note I created today–automatically. I’m not sure what I did to cause that. I’m still learning the application.
Could you send some screenshots of what you describe?
I know this is an old post, but in case someone else runs into the same issue, here’s what I think can help:
You need to press space after typing \date for it to convert to the date format.
If you press return/enter immediately after typing \date, it won’t convert (although I wish it did
)
I think the reason we don’t just immediately convert it is that you may want to add more. Eg \date(tomorrow)
No, I didn’t mean that it should convert immediately.
Just that if I type “\date” and press return, then it should convert as well. Right now, the only way to trigger the conversion is by first pressing space which feels counter-intuitive since most people press return to move to the next line
I see. Sounds like a bug. We look into it.
I’ve fixed this. Will be out next week.
Thanks for reporting this.
Kind regards,
Drew
