Third state for check list items?

In my hand written notes, I use this notation for action items:

[ ] do this thing
[ \ ] I’ve started this thing
[X] I’ve completed this thing

(The notation makes sense becuase I use squared paper!)

I find "I’ve started this thing” very helpful, especially for tasks that take time, like “plan workshop session”. It’s useful visually to know where you are.

Would others find something similar useful in Agenda? Perhaps:
( ) do this thing
( • ) I’ve started this thing
( ) I’ve completed this thing

(where ( ) indicateds the Agenda ‘check circle’)

I see what you mean but at this moment we don’t think the extra complexity is something we’d like to add.
