The Agenda widget on the lock screen does not display today's shared note

What I did:
Set the relevance in the Agenda widget on the lock screen to “Today.”

What happened:
Widget cannot find any relevant notes for today.

What I expected:
The agenda widget displays today’s note that has been shared for collaboration.

Today’s notes that are not shared for collaboration are displayed.

Please also note that the texts have not been translated. See the two images.

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):

Update:
I was very surprised today that it suddenly works.

I then tested the following:

  1. Assigned today’s shared note to tomorrow’s date
  2. Widget checked and no relevant note received. So, OK.
  3. Assigned today’s date to the shared note again
  4. Widget checked and no relevant note found. Even after 5 minutes.
  5. A non-shared note created with today’s date
  6. Widget immediately displays this new information during verification
  7. Assign a different date to the undivided note
  8. Now today’s shared note is reported in the widget

Perhaps this can help with troubleshooting.

Widgets aren’t terribly reliable, because they are actually not part of the main app. The system updates them when if finds time. The app can indicate the widget should refresh, but there is no guarantee as to when it will.

Am I right in assuming it does eventually work, but can take a while?

Are you suggesting that the refresh for a shared note is not as fast? If you make a local edit, does it happen fast? If someone else edits the note, does it lag?

That seems to be the case. I’m just not sure when that happens. I would have to check that more closely.

Yes, that’s exactly what I observed.

In this case, sharing is sufficient for collaboration. The other person has not yet accepted this note and has not yet edited it.

Update:
I tested it again.
Widget reacts very differently to today’s shared note. The response time ranged between 2 and 10 minutes in 3 attempts.

Widget sees the unshared note without any noticeable delay.
