What I did: I’ve noticed that the first line in a note is the “template name”. My first line currently uses formulas, for example: [ \date(format: MM-dd) ] \event-title as this is the true name for new notes. The challenge is that the template view becomes “complicated” to view, and I would like clean names to help with navigating and selecting.

If you go to ‘manage templates’ you can click in the template name on the left to rename the template - which is separate from the ‘formula’ shown on the right.
