Shift-Control-Arrow doesn’t scroll note

What I did:

used Shift-Control-Arrow to move a para to the bottom of a note

What happened:

the para moved off the bottom of the screen

What I expected:

the note to scroll upwards so the para remained visible

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):

Version 17.0.2 (271) - Mac App Store

Thanks for the feedback, we’ll see if this can be done.

I’ll put it on the list to check. So the only issue is that it doesn’t scroll?

I’m not sure what the behavior should be, to be honest. Usually when you are doing this sort of thing it is like archiving items. Throw it down the bottom. You probably then want to move to the next item and throw it down the bottom. I doubt many people want to follow the paragraph to the trash, so to speak.

So it may be more feature than bug.

I’m confused - perhaps I wasn’t clear. This is nothing to do with moving a paragraph to the trash.

My use case these days is I brainstorm a list of ideas, eg for a blog. Then I use the arrow commands to reorder the paragraphs to form the logical sequence of my blog. So I’m moving different paragraphs up and down, and it’s very annoying when a paragraph goes off the top of the screen, then I need to use the scroll bar to move the page to see the paragraph with the cursor.

I would expect a window to scroll to always keep the cursor visible.

Ah, I thought you meant sending the paragraph to the bottom of the note, which is a bit like hiding or trashing it.

You just mean reordering, moving up one or down one place. That makes sense then: it should scroll indeed. I’ll take a look.

@trebso , works like a charm here. Are you highlighting the para?

15.7 &. 21.0.2

Do you mean the SCROLLING is working like a charm? Or the MOVEMENT of the paragraph?

The latter works perfectly and the paragraph with the cursor in it is automatically when I use the keyboard command.

Maybe I’m missing but high lighting a paragraph and dragging it or using the kb both work smoothly. Ugh Oh, I wasn’t using it on a LONG enough note. I see what you mean. The scroll doesn’t keep up with the paragraph. I can see how that could be a coding challenge. It looks to me like the paragraph should be stationary relative to the screen and the and the rest scrolls?
