I want to display the creation date in the note, not have to look it up. Is that possible?

No, we don’t expose the creation date on notes. You can only look it up at this time.

Why is seeing the creation date all the time important to you? Just trying to understand the use case.

I have some older notes that I’d like to be able to see when I created them. I have just started to use Agenda as a primary note keeper and I imagine that I will be refering to notes that are a few years old in the future, and I’d just like to know when I made them with a quick glimpse, instead of having to select the note and accessing the information through the gear menu. This isn’t vital, just a convenience.

I have it set so that the date associated with the note is the date it was created. So except for notes associated with a calendar event I can see at a glance when notes were created.

You can also insert the creation date into each note, e.g.

Created: [date]

You can even do this automatically using a template.
If you need to do it quickly, use the keyboard’s “text replacement” system function.

You can sort by creation date too, if that helps. You click on the project title at the top of the list, and use the button top-right to control sorting.

I think having creation date on each note, and then probably modification date, permanently visible would clutter the interface a lot. It would probably be too distracting.
