If I search for a term in a note title (which is generally where I put the date and then subject of the meeting), the note turns up in search results, but the match in that title is not highlighted. This breaks “Command-G” navigation from match-to-match (it too misses matches in titles) and often scrolls the screen to halfway through the results where the search term first appeared in the body of a note.
Yes, this is a known issue. The title is a separate “editor”.
We have plans to improve search. It should address this, but perhaps in a different way to how you expect. Stay tuned!
Im trying to achieve something similar by searching/filtering for the notes title. Were there updates in this? Or it’s in the upcoming new version? 
No changes to search/filtering at this point. It’s high on our list for future projects.
