What happened:
The content I am looking for is found in 11 notes in archived projects.
However, when I tap on the search result, no list of the archive content opens.
What I expected:
I tap on “11 notes in archived projects…” and a list of relevant notes is displayed. I can then select individual note headings from the list to view the content.
Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):
iOS 18.6.2, Agenda 21.0
To me that would actually make sense. In the context of iOS wouldn’t one objective of archiving be to free up storage? Could the 11 notes you see be a placeholder and require downloading in files? I rarely use iOS thus am not very knowledgeable of the finer points.
As I understand it, Agenda archives are not actual compressed files, and the notes remain accessible in their original form.
Before the update to v21, Agenda opened the archived notes in place and I got what I was looking for. This still works after the update, but only on the Mac.
If this is intentional, then I am losing an important feature on the iPhone and iPad. I am then forced to unarchive all my old notes in order to be able to use the search function in Agenda as usual again.
I can’t reach the bottom results in the search window on my iPad. I can pull the list up, but then it moves back down on its own. I had this problem on my iPhone before, but it hasn’t happened for a while now.
Furthermore, there is the problem with incorrect search results, which is now causing me a lot of frustration. Searching for “yak” leads to incorrect notes. It’s a frequent struggle.
Search for yak and get search results in archived notes. So far, so good. But when I save this search as a Smart View and then use it, I no longer see the search results in the archived notes. This is a big problem for me!
On the iPad, the search window covers the notes. I think I’ve read similar feedback somewhere before…
I haven’t found a solution for this yet. It feels very unfinished to me. Or have I overlooked something?
