Search highlighting persists

What I did: searched for “achievement”

What happened:

  1. Occurrences of the word were highlighted correctly
  2. When I tried to clear search, occurrences still highlighted
  3. A non-occurrence of the word was also highlighted (screenshot)

What I expected:
Normal!

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):

9.3, macOS 10.15.3, mb air

Ah, OK. We thought that bug was fixed, but apparently not.

I see that achievement is still in the box above? So did the clear work?

It is very odd that some text that does not match is highlighted. Can you see a possible explanation? Is the word “achievement” nearby? Eg under/above?

The word “acheivement” appears about six lines below the highlighting in that note.

There’s something else that seems a bit odd with search:

If I search all projects for say “achievement”, I’m presented with a list of notes with the word.

If I then select a project in the sidebar, if the project happens to have no notes with that word, there’s a message “No notes matching “achievement” in this project”.

BUT - sometimes the search box shows the search term and the ‘clear’ button, sometimes it is empty:

Hmm, that is a bit odd, and perhaps a clue. I guess a relaunch of the app doesn’t clear up the issues, right?

Seems to be searching ok after restart

We suspect that our new beta may have something to fix this too. It’s available now (9.3.1)
