Can I search the Calendar for old events? I might want to link a new note to an old event.
There’s currently no easy way to do this, the workaround is to use the calendar app’s search function to locate the date. We hope to bring more options in the future.
Bump.
I see this suggestion hasn’t got legs — not many replies in support — but I think it would be useful if event search by name were possible in the calendar inspector.
I don’t think we’ll add search anytime soon, but the upcoming update that introduces Reminders will also feature a revamped calendar control that will make it much easier to navigate and find calendar events. Plus there are some more improvements that will come after that. So stay tuned!
Bump.
When I want to create a note in preparation for upcoming meetings the current workflow is a real slog… if I could search either in the global search, or a separate calendar search, for upcoming events it would be great.
Workaround to find event in calendar/etc. is fine for now, but search could be greatly improved.
+1 for this. A scenario I had just now what that a colleague asked me to prepare an agenda for an upcoming meeting. I knew the title of the meeting, but not the exact date, so I had to scroll through my calendar until I spotted it. Would have been great if I could just search for the event title/description (which is actually what I initially expected the calendar icon in the search field would allow me to do)
