Save window size on quit

It would be really great if Agenda remembered the window dimensions on quit, so I could resize it and have it stick.

It should generally do this but there are indeed conditions where this is not true, we’ll investigate further.

For what it’s worth, I’ve never had Agenda remember the window size on quit.

I’m just wondering, is this problem fix yet?

No, we have not yet managed to find the underlying cause alas.

Newer Agenda user here… finding this to be a minor annoying every day as I have to make the window bigger. Consider this an upvote for fixing this!

I’ve not had an issue with this, with or w/o stage manager which is usually on and several background items running. It always goes back to the same size and and boots to the same window. If you force quit the app it should write to the saved state. I had a problem some time ago that I had to delete the saved state file to get an app to start w/o the previous error. Maybe! I don’t remember where I found it but @mekentosj or @drewmccormack could…

Force quitting terminates the app and does not let it save anything, so probably not what you want.

There is an interplay here between saved state and certain constraints setup in the interface. I did some testing a while back, and it seemed to save things at certain size, but not at others. I think if the sidebar is wide when you quit, it is thinner when you launch.

We’ll look into it. I recall it was tricky. I couldn’t see an easy fix at that time.
