Remove assigned date, iOS

I can easily assign dates to notes. I can easily change the assigned date. However, I see no way to remove an assigned date. It would be great to have this option in presets. Am I missing something?

The quickest way is to tap in the empty area of the calendar (in the red circle in the screenshot below for example), this allows you to remove the assigned date.
