The ease of quicklook within macOS is its simplicity - just select the item and hit spacebar to view it. By making it a submenu item it loses the flexibility, imho. Please can we select the image (mouse or cursor keys) and hit spacebar to see quicklook instead of selecting from menu. Thanks.

Even easier and without a selection step, is to just hold the command-key while clicking the attachment to quicklook.
With me, it’s the option-key.
