Hi - this was suggested by a few people a long time in the past, but I wanted to revive the idea/request. Simply it is a feature that lets you hit a global keyboard shortcut that pops open a ‘quick entry’ text field to quickly type a note (though/idea/etc) which is then auto-entered into a note in Agenda. Similar to the ‘quick entry’ feature of Things 3 or TickTick. This would be super handy way to capture those fleeting thoguhts without having to open the whole app.
I would like something like this as well. I need to create a new workflow/habit of being able to:
quickly enter notes / tasks into my Mac and iPhone
2a) have these include tags that will feed into smart folders
2b) have this ubiquitous "quick entry” allow for me to select and link to a Project as I create them
optionally (though less optimal), have these all hit a universal “inbox” or catching queue for me to sort, tag, file, action later on
I’m just trying to figure out the best way to bring Tasking to life in Agenda, inclusive of this quick capture style that ties into a larger Tasking practice. I’m aware of the Reminders integration in Agenda, and I’m still trying to wrap my mind around whether using these together is a good idea or just overthinking it.
Getting comfortable with Agendas’ date based system. I have a global kb shortcut to run a script that checks for a QN assigned to today, if not, creates one from a template. It has one note per day containing all entries for each day of the QN project. Each entry in is given a ### header, status, assigned date, and necessary links. Like to-dos, if not acted on QNs are moved to the next day, keeping their original date. To-do, Tasks, and Events though are also separate projects in the DailyNote category but with one note per entry. I’m in the process of switching the script to Shortcuts and selecting where an entry should be sent or linked to . So far it’s using TOC and another window.
