Hmm, I can see how you would want to have the note be marked to today if it wouldn’t already have a date, I guess you are using Agenda like a journal in essence correct? We haven’t had many requests but we’ll keep it in mind. Fortunately the shortcut for both assign today and mark as done are very similar so while a bit cumbersome it’s relatively easy to hit cmd-return and cmd-shift-return in two subsequent keystrokes.
