Post table as actual plan text

Copied a few cells from a Numbers spreadsheet and pasted into a note as plain text.

Was added as a table, which I admit could be very handy. But I actually wanted just the text.

Would be great if this was possible!

So you used Edit > Paste As > Plain Text and still got the table?

Yup! That’s exactly what I did.

Just tried this again - copied some cells from Numbers, used Cmd-Shift-V to paste as plain text. But I get a table.

Use the menu “paste as plain text” and I get plain text - hurrah!

Seems Agenda doesn’t recognise the standard Mac keyboard command for paste as plain text. I find Cmd-Shift-V gives plain text in most apps.

Thanks for coming back to this, and for the extra clue about the character encoding, that is useful.

You’re right that Cmd-Shift-V is the de facto standard for paste as plain text on Mac, so we should probably make Agenda do the same. I’ll take it along.

The é issue in tables looks like a UTF-8 / Latin-1 mix-up on the table import path. We’ll have a look at that too.
