Performance question about Agenda

What I did:
I started to use Agenda to document some topics.
What happened:
at some moment updating the content was becoming really slow with texts no longer than 4000 words.
What I expected:
Well, certainly I didn´t expect that the responsiveness of the tool were affected when it mostly manage text (no images in this case)
Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):
I´m using Agenda 19.2.1
OS Sequoia 15.0.1
MacBook Pro 16inch 2019

Agenda is unique in that it presents multiple notes in a timeline, rather than just a single selected note. This can cause it to be less performant for very long notes.

Rather than a 4000 word note, you would be better to split it into several smaller notes. There are even commands that make splitting a note into two easier, but you could just make a new note and copy and paste the text over.

If you do a lot of long form writing, Agenda may not be ideal. You may be better with a tool like Scrivener or Ulysses.

Thanks a lot for the recommendations. Starting to use Ulysses and it looks like the right tool for this.
