Thanks for looking into this. I am not surprised this is an Outlook issue. I’ve had similar experiences with how closed down Outlook is when it comes to integrating with other apps.
They do have something called Microsoft Flow which facilitates the creation of automated workflow between some services. It may provide some info/options…
