New line not working after collapsed headline

What I did: Collapsed a text section under a H1 Headline and clicked new line / Enter multiple times to have a few lines between the collapsed section and the section I wanted to write

What happened: Independent of how often I pressed Enter, only one new line was created, so the cursor stayed in the line under the headline / collapsed section

What I expected: My multiple Enter presses to created multiple emtpy new lines

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):
Agenda Version 20.0.1 (337)
MacBook Pro M1 Pro with MacOS 15.2

When I type text in line under the collapsed section, it is working as expected again. Its just with an empty line that the new liines are not working

Just tested on iPad (Air 5, 18.3) and iPhone (16 Pro, 18.3) with the same result. There the cursor actually glitches to above the collapsed headline upon pressing enter in the empty line

OK, thanks for reporting it. Sounds indeed like an issue with the empty line. We will see what we can do.

@Tobi93, I believe the folding is made to hide to the next header or end of the note.

Yes, I think you will probably find the empty lines in the fold, but that is less than ideal. Ideally, we want to be able to edit things we just made. I will see if I can do that.

Thats what I first thought as well, but that doesn’t seem to be the case, at least for me. If I press Enter 10 times under a collapsed section, type some text and then unfold the section, the text is directly under the text from the section

OK, thanks for letting me know. That helps!

Mine is basically non-functional. I put in H1, 3, and 4 with a few lines of text after each header. H4 collapsed as expected but its header collapsed when I closed H3. H1 eats 3 and 4. It also opens 3 and 4 if closed. I tried different H combos with the same results. I turned off sp/grm but same results.
One thing I noticed was a difficulty regarding the accuracy required to hit the yellow button using the trackpad and finding inconsistencies with where the cursor needed to be to enable the open/close icon. Another thing, when using the icon, the cursor had to be moved before it would work. eg. dot > icon to open then dot > icon to close would not work until the cursor was moved.

I also tried to repeat @Tobi93 s problem. As long as there was a header below, it was fine. H, empty lines, text, even more lines, text worked as it should.

Elements are designed to fold any subordinates. So a H1 will completely enclose a H2 etc. Same with lists: a double nested list is folded by collapsing any of the ancestors.

We did try to improve the operation of the button in 20.0.1.
