Moving folding text with up/down arrows on Mac

I use ctrl-shift-arrow frequently to move paragraphs up and down.

I’ve only now started using folding text regularly and I’ve discoveded that ctrl-shift-arrow doesn’t work as I’d expect on folded text.

When text is folded, I’d expected the folded section to move up or down. But it simply unfolds the text!

Hmm, I thought we had improved that. Maybe only for dragging or something. Will investigate.

I expermented further and found that:

  • Selecting a block of several paragraphs and moving with arrows works
  • but ONLY if the paras are all at the same ‘level’
  • If some are indented, the results are very weird
