What I did: I upgraded to Sequoia.
What happened: Ever since, my two desktop widgets - All Notes and On The Agenda - look like this. Is it a memory issue? I five large Things widgets open too and they are working perfectly.
Sometimes, if I reduce the size to medium or small, data appears, but at large size, almost never.
Hmm, odd.
Does it help if you edit one of the notes in Agenda that would be in the widget?
What about removing the widget, and adding it back?
I know there were issues with with the beta.
Sadly not. At this stage, I have tried everything you suggest, and more. Sometimes the text appears at medium or small sizes, but never at large size, regardless of which list I select for display - Today or On The Agenda.
I though it could be a memory issue, but as I say, I have other widgets open from other apps, with no issues at all.
Right, but every widget is different, using a different data set etc, so you can’t really extrapolate between them.
Do you have a big library of notes and projects?
Does it work if you try the smallest widget, with just one note in it?
Kind regards,
Drew
I think you may be onto something
I have 200+ notes spread across 42 categories. I am using Agenda as an idea and notes store for a series of books.
Yes, the smallest widget, with one note works.
200 notes is not really very many. There are people with thousands.
Are the notes really long?
Interesting that the small one works. Suggests not a data problem, but a problem with the actual presentation.
Q: Are you sure you are using the widgets from your Mac, and not your iPhone?
These days, iPhone widgets can be put on the Mac. You may see two different Agenda’s in the list. One will be the iPhone, with the less 3D icon. Best to pick Mac widgets on the Mac.
It may also be worth force quitting Agenda, to get it to clear certain data.
