Keyboard shortcut for indenting not working

What I did:

  1. Create a bullet list
  2. Long press cmd to lookup the keyboard shortcut to indent a list item => Cmd+]
  3. On a German keyboard ] is Option+6
  4. Press Cmd+Option+6 expecting to indent the list

What happened:
The list item wasn‘t indented when pressing Cmd+Option+6. I also looked up where [ and ] would be on a US keyboard. I think they are next to the letter P where on my Keyboard Ü and + are. I tried pressing Cmd++ but this didn‘t work as well.

What I expected:
The list item gets indented. Indenting by pressing Tab works which I find more intuitive anyways. I would love if it where also possible to press Shift+Tab to outdent.

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):

  • Agenda Version: 4.0
  • German Apple Smart Folio keyboard
  • iOS 12.1.1

Shift-Tab does outdent on my system. Does it not work for you?

Can you check what shortcuts Apple Notes is using? We copied them with the square brackets.

Drew

In Apple Notes:

  • Tab => Indent
  • Shift-Tab => Outdent
  • Cmd-Option-5 which is Cmd-[ => Indent
  • Cmd-Option-6 which is Cmd-] => outdent

In Agenda:

  • Tab => Indent

The other three shortcuts don‘t work in Agenda. Shift-Tab puts the cursor from the note body to the header and back if pressed twice.

Changing the keyboard or even device language doesn’t help either.

Hmm, OK. It does work on macOS. I will investigate on iOS what is going on there. Seems it is probably being highjacked but the tab-between-views stuff that is built in.
