Issue with assigning dates

I do name Notes with dates, old habit and I use the form YY.MM.DD.

One thing I noticed is that Agenda evaluates the title and when I choose to assign a date to the note it jumps to what it thinks I want.

Being helpful and smart, which we like.

Except my non-standard date format trips it up. So for today 19.06.17 (my version) it jumps to 19 June 2017.

I see indeed, unfortunately there’s no easy fix i’m afraid. Perhaps a hidden preference to turn off the guess behaviour makes most sense in this case?
