What I did: opened Agenda on iOS
What happened: screen flickers, notes open and closed without touching the screen, app doesn’t respond to navigation taps but after a while does a lot of actions all at once. Unfortunately it’s basically unusable at this point
What I expected: up until about a week ago, the app worked as expected consistently, and I enjoy using using it
Things that might be helpful to uknow (Agenda version, OS and model, etc): iOS version 26.3.1 ; app version 22.2.1.
We are aware of this issue — sync can sometimes cause Agenda to re-download and replay note history, which leads to the flickering and delayed actions you’re seeing.
A fix is coming in the next version. In the meantime, try selecting the Trash in the sidebar, then leave Agenda running in the foreground for about 20 minutes with auto-lock off. This should let it work through the backlog.
Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for reporting it.
Drew
I’ve got the same problem. The iOS app is practically unusable. I type something, the text disappears and a second later reappears, or only part of what I typed. The behaviour is totally weird. I am on the newest version.
Hi Christian,
Sorry you’re hitting this too. The cause is sync replaying note history, and we have a fix in 22.3.1 that should have helped a lot already. Are you on the latest 22.3.1, or an earlier version?
If you’re already on 22.3.1 and still seeing it, try selecting the Trash in the sidebar and leaving Agenda in the foreground for around 20 minutes with auto-lock off, so it can work through any backlog.
If that doesn’t settle it, let me know and we’ll dig further.
Drew
