I have trouble reading the highlighted search results in grayed-out text.
This affects the dark/black user interface on iOS and macOS.
I know what I’m looking for and what to expect in the highlighted field, but I still find it distracting and think the design looks unfinished.
Here are a few examples on iOS:
Black user interface: I can’t read the highlighted text on the iPhone at all.
Black user interface: Readability is excellent for checklist items that have not yet been checked off.
Light user interface: Readability is good here.
Dark user interface: Here, readability is slightly better than with the black interface, but still very poor and inadequate.
I use the black user interface on my iPhone and the “System” setting on my iPad and MBA.
I would like to be able to always read the highlighted search results securely, regardless of the user interface setting.
