I wanted to provide more feedback and suggestions.
When scrolling through the right sidebar to view previous days’ agendas, there are significant “jumps.” I suspect this occurs because the data needs to load. If you attempt this later, the jumps don’t happen as the days are already loaded. This issue forces me to scroll up, and once the data loads, I have to hit the “today” button and try again, or else I lose my position on the sidebar. Perhaps pre-loading a few past days could resolve this?
On iOS, the “Share to Agenda” feature doesn’t allow you to select the new inbox as a target. This functionality would be very useful for quickly saving links or notes for later organisation, which currently isn’t possible. I believe the “save to inbox” option should create a new note instead of prompting you to select an existing one, acting as a quick save feature.
On the iPad, when using a keyboard, the option+space shortcut doesn’t trigger the project selection menu. I’m unsure if this is intentional, but I frequently use Agenda on my iPad and end up using cmd+F to find the project I want to switch to.
I remember the beta in May very well. Back then, it was still possible to use the Agenda inbox for sharing. I did that quite often. That was probably possible back then because the inbox was displayed as a regular project folder when sharing. Unfortunately, after the fix, sharing was no longer available.
That’s too bad, +1
On the scrolling jumps in the right sidebar, that sounds right. The days are loaded as you reach them, and when a batch arrives it changes the height of what is above you, so your position shifts. Loading a little ahead of where you are is the sort of fix that would help. I’ll take it along.
On the Inbox as a share destination, that one is already on our list. The Inbox sits a bit apart from the rest of the data model, which is why it doesn’t turn up in menus and pickers the way projects do, and that is what we need to fix. Your second half, that saving to the Inbox should just make a new note rather than asking you to pick an existing one, is a fair point and fits how the Inbox is meant to work. I’ll consider it.
On option and space, that should already work on iPad. It is the Open Quickly shortcut and it is on by default, so it may be that iPadOS is taking the key combination before Agenda sees it, which happens on some keyboard layouts. Two things worth checking. It is a premium feature, so it will do nothing if the app isn’t unlocked. And there is a setting for it in Agenda’s settings, under General, called “Use ⌥ + Space to Open Quickly”. If you turn that off, the shortcut becomes shift, command and O instead, which is worth trying if the system is swallowing the other one.
