Feature Requests: Enhancing iPad fluidity and document management for professional workflows

Hi Agenda Team,

First, I want to say that Agenda is the best app I’ve used for timeline and project management. The way it ties notes to the calendar is unbeatable and it has become the core of my professional workflow for tracking complex cases and deadlines.

However, as I try to consolidate my ecosystem (using mainly Mac and iPad), I’ve noticed a few areas where the app feels a bit rigid. I currently have to rely on workarounds or third-party apps to fill these gaps. I would love to see the following features considered for future updates:

1. True Inline Apple Pencil Support Currently, using the Apple Pencil feels disruptive because it requires opening a separate “Sketch” block. It would be a game-changer to have true inline handwriting support, allowing users to seamlessly jot down notes or brainstorm directly between typed text, similar to how Apple Notes or Notability handle it.

2. Integrated Audio Recording An integrated voice memo/audio recording tool inside the note would be incredibly helpful. For professionals who need to record meetings or quickly dictate long thoughts on the go, having to record in a separate app and then attach the file to Agenda breaks the workflow.

3. Native Apple Contacts Integration It would be highly productive to have direct integration with Apple Contacts. Being able to type @ and directly link a client’s contact card to a project or specific note would streamline case management significantly.

4. Inline PDF Previews (Swipeable) Right now, PDFs are treated mostly as static attachments or icons. Having a native, swipeable inline preview for multi-page PDFs (just like Apple Notes does) would drastically improve the experience of reviewing documents and evidence without having to constantly open them in Preview.

Agenda’s chronological approach is brilliant, and implementing these quality-of-life features — especially to improve the iPad experience — would make it an absolute powerhouse.

Thank you for the great work!

Thanks for the kind words, and great feedback!

  1. We do support Apple’s scribble for using pencil to add typed text. I guess that is not what you want though. You want to be able to write like you do in the full screen mode, but inline, like apple notes. Correct?
  2. Agree Re: Audio. It’s pretty high on the list.
  3. Contacts is actually the very next thing on our list
  4. The PDF browser is interested. You can use quicklook or preview, but agree it would be nice to browse inline.

Thanks again! Great feedback.

Exactly! The goal is to have that “Apple Notes” feel where handwriting and text coexist on the same plane without the friction of opening a separate sketch window. It would make the iPad experience feel much more fluid….Are there plans for that?

Thanks for the feedback!
