I almost always switch the “Link”-display to “full URL view”.
That’s why I’d like to see an option that lets me change the default link display.

Thanks for the feedback! One tip: if you paste a link into backticks (the fixed width inline style), it will show the full URL instead of the shortened version. Not quite a default setting, but it might help. We’ll take the suggestion along though!
It took a while but found it. Getting old, memory search is slowing down and not recognizing key words. I remembered a discussion regarding “to shorten or not” (and searched “link” in agenda help.) Kind of makes one want to explorer substitutions.
When you want to copy a (URL) only, insure that edit> substitutions> LINK SHORTENING is un-checked. You can then Copy as Agenda Link and paste as usual.
Good tip! That substitutions setting is handy if you always want to see the full URL. Thanks for sharing!
