For the date range on the right panel, I like to set it for the next 10 day view. Is is possible for it to automatically stay instead of reverting to today view?
Not yet. It currently follows the note selection, but will go to Today if there is nothing selected. We are considering whether to give options for showing more time.

+1 for being able to set 10 days or similar as the default view when nothing is selected.
