I suggested before that it would be cool if any future Contact integration recognised the relationship between an @Person tag and their email address. I often import email messages into Posts, and it’s a pain to manually create person tags when the email address is already present. This would be good for searching and for related-items.
And the cherry on the cake would be if clicking on a person tag or an email address, not only opened the email client, but also added in the to field: Last-name First-name name@example.com.
Currently I’m doing a lot of email followup and tracking it in Agenda, and copying and pasting “Last-name First-name name@example.com” into the email app - because I need the name to work with my Spark email template.
I received an email from colleagues at work, which I then sent to Agenda
Agenda then automatically created a new note with the subject title in a specific project
A placeholder was created in the note with @Person, i.e., the name of my colleague, and the corresponding email address was stored in the person manager.
I then made my notes on the email in another note and generated a summary or reply from it (AI did it).
I then right-clicked on @Person and selected “Reply to @Person” from the small menu.
Apple Mail opened and my summarized reply was ready to send.
@trebso, have you tried exporting vcf files from spark and figuring our something from that. @Roms, I would suggest that your dream is strong plea from your subconscious that you really need to step away from the keyboard. Fall asleep with thoughts of someone special with you on a beach or in a tropical forest.
Personally I’ll stick to my best of breed app philosophy and link to it.
My comment should not come across as negative. I admit that it is worded a little strangely, but basically I want something similar to @trebso.
I would also like to see contacts linked to @Person and associated email addresses. Sending an email to Agenda is also my favorite way to communicate with the Windows world.
No No No, I thought it was funny. I knew what you meant; that you had worked it out in your head. I think graphically and sometimes get an incorrect image I can’t get rid of. I was thinking about how to set up a template several months ago. This image pops up of cylinder type “mimeograph machine” that was spiting out the product. I still can’t get rid of it.
PS: I use Cardhop that comes with Fantastical. It’s link friendly. I have a project with a separate note for each contact. When referring to “@sombody” the link to that persons card contains the link.
