What I did: New Project

What happened: a new project appears

What I expected: make a note where to write my list shopping (for example) and a little square on the beggining of each item to be marked or not.

First thing is to keep in mind that Agenda is a note taking app (like Apple’s Notes app), not a task manager app like Reminders or Things. By default (unless you turned this off in the Agenda preferences), if you create a new project it should also create a new empty note. Next you can select the checklist paragraph style if you like to make a checklist for your shopping, see Tags, People, Actions, Links, Lists, and Tables
