Character buttons in the formatting palette do not function after updating to Agenda 21

I am on macOS.

After updating to Agenda 21, the character buttons in the formatting palette no longer work.
I can only change the font color.

Of course, there are other ways to edit the text, so it’s not the end of the world at the moment.

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):
