Can't sync from my iPhone X

What I did: I have a new macbook but can not sync the data from my iPhone X

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc):

Make sure you are signed in to iCloud with the same account on each device, and that iCloud Drive is turned on. (The latter is very important. Many people don’t have iCloud Drive turned on.)

Lastly, some companies block iCloud, so you might need to check if that is the reason sync is not working for you.
