Can’t press “escape” in note body to stop editing, and select the note

What I did: Typed some text in a note body. Pressed escape.

What happened: Nothing - the edit cursor still blinks.

What I expected: Edit mode stops, and the note gets selected so I can use up/down to navigate the note list.

Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc): Agenda 14, MacOS 10.15.7

Forgot to mention that it’s new to 14, as I type and press escape lots of times every day!
