I’ve been keeping a laboratory notebook for many years in various forms. It currently is in Markdown (for use with Jekyll static site generator). I typically make a daily entry with what I’ve done and tag it to coordinate tasks. Is this something that Agenda will do well?
The interesting thing is that the original idea for Agenda came from another tool we were developing which was a laboratory notebook
Agenda is basically a more generic version of that notebook.
So, yes, think you could definitely use it for this. Tags are very flexible, and have become more powerful with the new search, and with upcoming changes in Agenda 20. You could setup a scheme to fit your usage, I’m quite sure of that.
Agenda allows tagging, searching based on tags, and creation of overviews based on tags, dates etc. So I think you could setup a pretty good lab book based on these tools.
You could also post in the Talk section of this site. That is for discussing uses with others. There may be other customers who are using it this way, and can give tips.
Kind regards,
Drew
Alas, I’m not allowed to post in the Talk category of the community. Not sure what I need to do to enable that.
Hmm, I did not know we had any restrictions there. Sorry about that.
I have made a change to your account, so hopefully now you are able to.
Kind regards,
Drew
OK, let us know if you find something. Might be worth looking at any apps for recording, like the ones from Rogue Amoeba (eg fusion).
