What I did: Added a new note and linked it to the calendar event
What happened:
When I open outlook, ical etc it just says agenda://note……xxx
What I expected:
Wouldnt it show the note details?

No, events in your calendar and notes in Agenda are linked, the details of your notes are not copied into your calendar. The reason is two-fold, first the notes field in your calendar can only support a small amount of plain text, meaning that any formatting would be lost and longer notes would be truncated. But more importantly, there’s also a privacy risk, it would be very easy for notes to be inadvertently shared with other invitees on the note for example (you probably wouldn’t want your boss to accidentally see the notes you took of your meeting where you weren’t too complimentary for example).
