Bulk Collapse future feature request

Hi Guys, love Agenda and use it daily for both personal and work.

REQUEST:

There may be a way to do this Im not aware but if not I would like to suggest you add a way to bulk collapse all notes in a project or category.

REASON:

Often I have many opened and unopened notes in a project. I have a need to review all the notes quickly to find something or just look at the history, opening some and not others to get up to speed on a certain issue. It helps in scanning the list to close everything at once so I can see it all in the collapsed view. I realize you can see a collapsed view of notes included by clicking the cursor on the project overview pull down but there is a lot of back and forth to “peek” inside several individual notes to see what’s there. I would appreciate and use a “bulk closed” and even a “bulk open” for an entire Project or Category at one time.

Thanks for your consideration, and keep up the good work refining your already excellent product!

Jeff

On macOS, select the project and choose Note > Collapse All.

I don’t think we have a way to do it yet on iOS.

Kind regards,
Drew

I wish there was someway to somehow customize the toolbar a bit so that I could get one click access to this + Expand all. I’m a mouse guy, the keyboard shortcuts are cumbersome.

With Tahoe we’ve gotten even further away from customizeable toolbars Mac OS X was so great at. ;-(

We’ll take it along. Thanks for the feedback!

Apple Mail in Tahoe has the Liquid Glass “toolbar”, but still let’s you customize it… I’d very much appreciate something like this in Agenda, where the AI/Search/+ icons are right now (some ability to customize)

That would be a very big change to the design. We have never had a toolbar in any version.

Will consider it in future. Thanks!

I get that. I wouldn’t be asking for the stock “Customize Toolbar…” functionality in that case, but some options in the settings to customize the “toolbar” would be nice. Call them something else like shortcuts or quick actions, keep your defaults (AI / Search / New Note) but let me pick from other common tasks (like most of the things in the View menu).
