What I did:
Added a drawing to an Agenda note with a white background & color handwriting
What happened:
The thumbnail shown on the note is black and only certain highlights show. It shows the same way in Preview and only shows normally in Edit.
What I expected:
Preview and Thumbnail should show a white background and my handwritten notes.
Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc): iPad OS 26 Beta 2 (23A5276f)
I guess you are in dark mode, right? The drawing modes adapt to the current OS setting. If you are in light mode, I think they should be with white background.
I am not in dark mode unfortunately…
Also to add, if I export the image it shows this way as well
How did you make that image? Were you in dark mode when you made it?
Is it possible the image is transparent? If you open it in Preview, do you see the black background?
I do see the black background in preview and when I print as well. Unsure how I can change the image from being transparent if that is the case though.
I was not in dark mode when it was created.
It’s odd. Have you tried to edit the image on the original device? Maybe something went wrong when it was saving. Opening it to edit may fix it.
That doesn’t seem to work either. This isn’t an ongoing issue with all of my new notes right now… Becoming painful
So this is an issue on iPad, correct?
I see you are using the iPadOS 26 beta. It’s very likely an issue with that, since I haven’t heard of this issue from others. We will investigate it. There is also a reasonable chance that it is a bug in the beta.
Drew
I am using the Beta yes, please let me know if you find anything, thank you!
It’s on my list to look into. Thanks for reporting this.
Any thoughts on this one? It’s getting kinda painful, I’m not gonne lie
No, it’s pretty clear it has to do with the OS beta. I need to look into it. It could also just be an OS bug which we have to wait for Apple to fix.
I assume you are fully up-to-date with the beta(?) they may fix it at some point.
