Hi - I wonder if you might revisit the AI functionality in Agenda? Sadly, although I love Agenda overall, I’ve found this feature to be quite lacking. It is slow and almost never surfaces the correct answers, even when they should be quite obvious (e.g. I ask who a contact is for a project, and I have a note with this clealry labelled, but Agenda never gives this answr). I’m not sure if this is due to the limitations of the underlying LLM you are using (Apple’s I presume)? One possible fix would be to allow people to link other LLMs they use often, like Claude or ChatGPT.
Thanks for listening, love the product,
Stu
Thanks for the feedback. Ask Agenda runs on Apple Intelligence on-device, so its quality is tied quite tightly to what Apple’s model can do, especially around finding and reasoning over your notes. It’s an area we want to keep improving as Apple’s models get better.
Linking to an external LLM like Claude or ChatGPT is something we have thought about. The trade-off is that those run in the cloud, which conflicts with Agenda being local-first and your notes staying on your devices. We’ll take it along though, and see if there is a way to offer it as an opt-in.
It is very likely Apple will improve AI this year as early as Monday. When they do, we will improve Agenda along with it. If it turns out they don’t, we will consider options like allowing access to cloud services.
Thanks for the feedback!
Kind regards,
Drew
